Whitstable

E&A Securities acquired the freehold interest of a former Natwest Bank, situated on a prominent part of the High Street in the fashionable Kent town of Whitstable. Whilst working closely with a local bar/restaurant operator, planning was achieved to change the use class from A2 to A4.

The commercial element of the former bank was then comprehensively refurbished to create a bar and restaurant, including the formation of a new garden via one of the former safe rooms.

A second planning application was subsequently consented for the formation of a one bedroom apartment at first floor level which was previously the banks ancillary office space.

The property initially was let simultaneously as E&A Securities exchanged contracts to a local operator on a short term basis, pending an eventual investment sale.
